Training at Milliman Quarter Horses
Milliman Quarter Horses takes a limited number of horses in for training throughout the year. Our focus is on the quality of horses that we return to owners, not the quantity of horses. Contact Milliman Quarter Horses about tuning up your barrel horse or starting your horse on the barrels.
Milliman Quarter Horses accepts outside barrel horses to start or tune up on the barrels to your specific needs.
We help riders and horses of all levels.
Cost of training is $500 for 30 rides, usually takes between 30-45 days depending on
weather and our desire to allow horses a day off here and there.
Includes: riding, training, hay, and grain.
Training includes:
-Starting horse on the barrel pattern
-Arena exercises specific to the needs of the horse pertaining to barrel racing
-Multiple spaces to train your horse; hills, pasture, fields, rodeo arenas
-Horses can be hauled, exhibitioned, and raced (price varies depending on this)
-We realize the needs of each horse is different, please contact us to find out how we can cater to your specific training needs.
All horses entering Milliman Quarter Horse facilities must be at least green broke to be started in the barrel racing program.
Horses will be kept in separate pens and must be up-to-date on all shots and have a negative coggins.
Riding and training references are available at your request.
